Our clinic was founded by a passionate occupational therapist who is dedicated to the pediatric community.
Meet Eleanor, our Dalmatian puppy who watches over the children and guides them to grow, love, and thrive each day. We named her after the mother of occupational therapy, Eleanor Clark Slagle, who pioneered advocacy for the OT profession and people with disabilities. In the spirit of Slagle, we strive to provide quality, effective, and fun therapy to each child who walks through our doors.

Jessica Carter OT/L
Owner / Lead Occupational Therapist
Meet Jessica Carter, our lead Occupational Therapist! Jessica received her Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2019 and completed her pediatrics studies at the renowned Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and Clinic before returning to her hometown on the coast. She is a specialized feeding therapist through the SOS approach and is dedicated to helping children achieve independence and joy in their daily activities and routines. With Jessica's expertise, your child will receive top-notch care to reach their full potential.
Tessa Steele M.S., CCC-SLPS
Lead Speech-Language Pathologist
Meet Tessa Steele, a certified speech-language pathologist at SPOT Therapy. Tessa earned her Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Mississippi and returned to the Gulf Coast to serve families in Mississippi. With a passion for helping children gain communication, feeding, and oral motor independence, Tessa is dedicated to providing quality and family-centered services. She is also certified in adult VitalStim and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the SPOT Therapy team.
Bryan Fox
Office Staff
Mr. Bryan is part of our wonderful office staff that is here to answer your questions and concerns about scheduling, insurance, and referral needs. Bryan was born and raised in Ocean Springs and served our country in the Army National Guard for 9 years. Bryan loves spending time with his family, and camping and hiking in his free time. Bryan is here to serve you and your family to ensure you are able to access essential services for your child.

That's why we accept insurance plans from most major providers, including Medicaid, Magnolia, Molina, United Healthcare, BCBS, SAS, and First Steps.
